This part will be brief, I just want to make one point here today.
At the sake of sounding totally pollitically incorrect, which I would rather be considered anyway, as Christians, we should not neccessarily be supporting AIDS research; at least maybe Rick Warren should not be supporting it.
As a Christian, and especially as a minister of God's word, one should be preaching a message of repentance and a turning away from sinful behavior before we say it is ok to participate in it under the guise of "loving someone where they are." Which is exactly the message we send when we support "research".
Here is a simple cure that has already been "researched". STOP THE ACTIVITIES THAT GIVE YOU AIDS!!!!
So, yeah, quick rant for now - more on the misdirections of Mr. Warren later, but next, the nausea of Billy Graham. You don't want to miss this one folks!!

"Stop the activities that give you AIDS." I applaud you for finding a way to STOP the further spread of AIDS. It's a message worth sending out across the globe. (By the way, it's not new. My friends, Rick and Kay Warren have been promoting the method S.T.O.P. for years. Visit their website and see for yourself.) However, could I suggest a little dose of compassion? I would highly suggest compassion for the millions who are already infected who cannot take advantage of your so-called "cure". S.T.O.P., as promoted by the Warrens, is laughed at by the liberal community, but they push along fighting for it. And I, fight with them for S.T.O.P. However, there are the millions who will never see the benefit of S.T.O.P. because they are already infected. Some by infected spouses, some by infected mothers, and yes, some by their own choices. But all loved by Jesus Christ. You see, my Savior did not come to heal and save Christians. There were none when He lived on earth. There were no righteous - none. Righteousness came through Christ. Jesus came for the sick and the sinner. For the lepers. For the publicans and sinners. For you and for me. For the AIDS widows and orphans. The Word of God says that true religion is to care for the widows and orphans. Yes, even the AIDS widows and orphans. I dare say, that compassion towards the AIDS victim, our present day leper, is still missing from religious circles. Christ brought grace and mercy to the lowest of low. I say that we could all afford a little compassion, a little love, and a little research for the millions who will die a painful, agonizing death. Your solution to STOP AIDS is admirable, but a researched cure for those who will die TODAY, die a miserable death TODAY, it is not.
Regards,
Kevin
It seems that Mr. Warren did well as the moderator on the forum that hosted Senators Obama and McCain.
